The Project

South of the historic Warehouse District, the first part of a quarter in HafenCity has been completed.

After 120 years, this port is returning to residential use. The prelude to the construction of HafenCity was the section of the quarter on the Sandtorkai, with its five residential and three office buildings. The architecture of the buildings is impressive individually, and the buildings create a special ensemble when viewed as a single entity.

Our products and our expertise have been used in half of the eight buildings. Though the boundary condition of a large overhang towards the dock was the same for all buildings, a unique solution for this boundary condition has been found for each building.
